AWARDS
The ASADS Board is now accepting applications for the 2011 Carl Nowell Leadership Award, to be presented at the 36th Annual Conference in Tuscaloosa, AL, March 22-25, 2011. All practicing professionals in the areas of substance abuse prevention, treatment and/or recovery are encouraged to submit nominations for the award, to be received no later than February 1, 2011.
The ASADS Award Committee will review nominations and will recommend candidates to the Board for consideration. The Awards Committee may choose to make, if appropriate, more than one recommendation to be determined by the Board. The recipient will be notified in sufficient time to allow them to attend the presentation.
Submission paper must be typed and contain all the information outlined below to be considered for this award.
Nominee

Fully considering the long standing impact in the substance abuse prevention, treatment, recovery and support services field, what are at least three contributions that the nominee has made during their career.
Achievement:
Name achievements that have been given to the nominee during their career in the substance abuse prevention, treatment, recovery and support services field.
Service and Leadership:
List committees, taskforces, boards, associations or organizations indicating service to and leadership in the substance abuse prevention, treatment, recovery and support services field. List positions that have been held by the nominee.
References:
List name and direct contact information of at least three other professionals who would also testify to the leadership of the nominee.
